Revive Massage

Sometimes we all need a little bit of relaxation. Our world moves at 100mph, we’re constantly on the go and there’s always something new to worry about. Often, it feels as though we’re being drained from every angle, with no time to simply rest and recharge. At Revive in 10, we wanted to do something about this problem and decided that bite-sized, 10-minute chair massage was the perfect solution.

Experts agree that as much as 90% of disease is stress related. In an increasingly pressurised modern world that seems almost designed to make us anxious and stressed, there needs to be some sort of release. As little as 10 minutes of chair massage is enough to help relax the body, reduce stress, ease muscles and alleviate aches and pains.

With so many physical, physiological, mental and emotional benefits of massage, we believe it’s something that everyone should incorporate into their well-being routines. Revive in 10 can visit you at your home, workplace or event and deliver 10 blissful minutes of massage to recharge your batteries and set you up for the rest of the working day and week.

How it works

We wanted to keep the entire process as simple and straightforward as possible and make it easy for you to schedule in a quick massage, even when you’re pressed for time.

Where?

We come to you – whether that be at your office, your home or an event you have organised.

What do I need?

All you need to do is bring together some friends, staff or colleagues and a small space. We will do the rest!

Do I need to undress?

Nope! You won’t need to remove any clothes or even lie down. One of the best things about chair massage is how accessible it is to everyone.

Will I need to shower afterwards?

Only if you want to. There are no oils involved in chair massage, so no need to worry about your hair or clothes.

What do I need to do?

All we ask you to do is fill out a quick assessment form to disclose any issues you have, then we’ll have a chat about what you feel you need, your pressure preferences and what you’re looking to get out of the service.

After that’s completed, all you need to do is relax… you’re in good hands.

Options

We offer chair massage with sessions from as little as 10 minutes. The longer the massage time, the more designed to target specific/different areas and issues and increase restoration.

Relax. Reset. Recharge.
10 mins

The Essential – Neck and Shoulders. Essential for mild stress and tension

Relax – In the opening stages of the massage, the process involves working to relieve tired muscles and relax any pent-up tension.

Reset – We then look to induce you into a meditative state. This balances the systems in your mind and body, and allows your energies to be reset.

Recharge – Skilled massage techniques work with your system in this highly regenerative state, and recharge your mind and body via many beneficial changes to the physiological, physical, mental and emotional systems.

Stimulating massage techniques are designed to bring you back to a more awake state allowing  you to return to your day with more zest and a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.

If you’d like to go deeper and have more work on any tension, shoulder pain, stress or even if you’d just prefer a longer massage, you can reap all the benefits of our extended 20-minute massage service below. The longer the massage, the more tension released and more positive chemical hormones are produced within the body.

Relax. Reset. Recharge. Restore. 20 Mins

The Ideal – Back, neck and shoulder massage – Ideal for neglected stress, tight muscles and persistent pain

Relax – The opening stages of the massage facilitates the release of stored tensions, allowing you to ‘let go’ and completely relax.

Reset – This extended section aims to further reduce muscle tension and work on any specific areas of concern. Focussed relief of tension areas using advanced techniques and increased relaxation time in order to deeply recharge the muscles.

Recharge – Skilled massage techniques work with your system in this highly regenerative state, and recharge your mind and body via many beneficial changes to the physiological, physical, mental and emotional systems.

Restore – This longer period of recharge time consists of more focussed attention on particular areas of concern using advanced techniques in order to further reduce tension and pain and restore function.  The extended massage time enables your system to deeply relax and regenerate the mind and body, restoring you to your natural self.

The final minutes are more stimulating and designed to reset your system. This allows you to return to your day feeling refreshed with renewed vigour and a sense of clarity and purpose.

Longer massages are also available in 10-minute increments: Can include arms, hands, lower back, longer time on specific areas. Please just ask and we can tailor to your needs.

Type of Massage

The massage is a mix of Swedish and Seated Acupressure techniques for maximum effect.

Using this unique combination, the client is aided to relax by targeting areas that hold tension in the back, neck and shoulders; the nervous system is shifted from stress and unease into a state of ease and flow: helping to alleviate tension, fatigue and pain.

Swedish massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to enhance function and promote relaxation and wellbeing using stretching, kneading, friction and tapping techniques.

Seated Acupressure massage is a highly effect form of massage based on the traditional Japanese acupressure technique called anma. Anma is Japanese for ‘press and rub’ and this therapy aims to stimulate the acupressure points in the head, neck, shoulders, spine and lower back.

When we are tense, our muscles are in spasm and we tend to feel drained and lethargic. The effect of relieving tension is usually a feeling of relaxation and of renewed energy and vigour.

Muscles have a huge nerve supply and when we massage muscle tissue, we change the nerve signals travelling to and from those muscles; hence affecting the responses of the nervous system.  This can have results such as increased muscle tone and relaxation of muscle tension.  Massaging the neck and back will stimulate the spinal nerves as they exit the spinal column and have a reflex effect on all the tissues supplied by them (eg. Muscles, skin, bowel, lungs, hormonal response etc).

Benefits of Massage in
the Workplace

Energising Your Workplace

Massage not only addresses benefits to employees’ physical health but also aids their mental and emotional wellbeing, reducing stress and reducing the likelihood of stress related sickness days that your staff might take.

The Ideal 10 min chair massage will revitalise, boost morale and motivation, creativity in your organisation. Staff will feel valued and productivity can increase by 30%.

A 10 min massage can:

Create happy workers – increased endorphins, serotonin and dopamine. Decreased production of the stress hormone cortisol is guaranteed to relax and revitalise your staff and put smiles on their faces.

N

Improve work relationships – people with less muscle tension that feel less stressed are easier to get along with.

N

Increase effectiveness – it’s tricky to focus when your neck hurts and your shoulders are in knots. A massage literally clears your head.

N

Provide a much needed and healthful stress break – employees need to get up from their desks periodically to avoid muscle stiffness and eye strain. Add in a massage during a break and your staff will feel management is doing something proactive for their wellbeing.

N

Counter the circulatory problems inherent in office work – massaging muscles through skin increases the flow of blood to legs and arms that may have reduced flow due to sitting in one position too long.

"I have been a client of Susie for several years and can highly recommend her approach. She takes the time to understand the challenges you have (whether that be physical or mental) and adapts her techniques accordingly to ensure you have the the most beneficial massage. I never leave without having my next session booked in - it's wonderful to have a treatment to look forward to!"
